Special Events we will present in 2010
"11th Annual MDA Car Show"
The Southern Knights Cruisers Car Club will present the 11th MDA Car Show on August 14, 2010, at
Richard Bland College and will partner with Strosnider Chevrolet of Hopewell, Balch Automotive & Collision of Chester, and
Hardee’s Restaurants. This show is the Premier Car Show for the Richmond Metro & Tri-Cities area, raising over $220,000 over the past 10 years with more than 335 registered vehicles
in attendance at times. We look to have Special attractions again, such as replica of The Spookee Mobile, "Elvis", the National Guard Black Hawk Hellicopter, performance by The
Colonial Heights American Legion Color Guard, The Mayberry Police Cruiser on the Andy Griffith TV Show and several Antique Fire Trucks. We also will have the special replica of
the old Train engine known as the 40/8 displayed. The kids love seeing this at our show. Gosh, and what does 40/8 mean?? Well, we asked the same question. The 40 stands for the 40
men it could carry and the 8 was for the number of mules. So, now you know! The Opening Ceremony is always something special each year. You need to be there before 11:00 am to be set up
and to see it all!

Also, Walgreens stores in the Tri-Cities area have joined us and held a special event on July 10, 2010. - The surrounding Walgreens Stores have joined together and offered a Special Event to help MDA and "Jerry's Kids." The event was held at Walgreens located at 3201 Boulevard Colonial Heights, VA. This benefit is for MDA in support and in advance of the 11th Annual MDA Car Show coming up on August 14th at Richard Bland College. Walgreens had a cookout and raised over $600.00. Members of the Southern Knights Cruisers Car Club (SKC) and friends displayed several antique autos. We want to thank Joyce Zajack, Manager, at Walgreens for hosting this event and for
all Walgreens does to help the community.

Hardee's Saturday Night Cruise-in Chester, VA
Beginning April 3, 2010, Every Saturday Night at Hardee's located at 1901 W. Hundred Rd. (Rt. 10 & I-95 Exit 61-A) Sponsored by Southern Knights Cruisers, Inc. thru September from 5:00 PM until? Everyone is welcomed to cruise in for Good Food, Good Music, Good Friends, Beautiful Classic Cars. Join us, "DJ Wolf Man John" " Rock-It Man", "The General", and "Wild Man" for the best music in town for good family entertainment. Also check for photos of all the vehicles attending the event.
