"11th Annual MDA Car Show"

The Southern Knights Cruisers Car Club will present the 11th MDA Car Show on August 14, 2010, at Richard Bland College and will partner with Strosnider Chevrolet of Hopewell, Balch Automotive & Collision of Chester, and Hardee’s Restaurants. This show is the Premier Car Show for the Richmond Metro & Tri-Cities area, raising over $220,000 over the past 10 years with more than 335 registered vehicles in attendance at times. We look to have Special attractions again, such as replica of The Spookee Mobile, "Elvis", the National Guard Black Hawk Hellicopter, performance by The Colonial Heights American Legion Color Guard, The Mayberry Police Cruiser on the Andy Griffith TV Show and several Antique Fire Trucks. We also will have the special replica of the old Train engine known as the 40/8 displayed. The kids love seeing this at our show. Gosh, and what does 40/8 mean?? Well, we asked the same question. The 40 stands for the 40 men it could carry and the 8 was for the number of mules. So, now you know! The Opening Ceremony is always something special each year. You need to be there before 11:00 am to be set up and to see it all!
