"9th Annual MDA Car Show"

The Southern Knights Cruisers Car Club will present the 9th MDA Car Show on August 9, 2008, at Richard Bland College and partnering with Strosnider Chevrolet of Hopewell, Collision One of Mechanicsville & Tappahannock, and Hardee’s Restaurants. This show will again be the Premier Car Show for the Richmond Metro & Tri-Cities area. We hope to have Special attractions again such as replica of The Spookee Mobile, The Mayberry Police Cruiser on the Andy Griffith TV Show and several Antique Fire Trucks. We are again inviting the American Legion Post 284 Honor Guard to be with us again this year. They will displaying their special replica of the old Train engine known as the 40/8. The kids love seening this at our show. Gosh, and what does 40/8 mean?? Well, we asked the same question. The 40 stands for the 40 men it could carry and the 8 was for the number of mules. So, now you know! The Opening Ceremony Committee is working on something special again this year. Be there before 9:30 am to see it all! We will announce more as the date of the show approaches. But, you won't want to miss this years show!

As in the past, All money raised will be turned over to MDA during the “Jerry Lewis” Telethon on WRIC TV 8 over Labor Day Weekend.
