Check out this Antique Truck From the Norfolk-Newport News Area. The owner pulled it from a barn and started driving it. Runs like a Top! The 8th Annual MDA Car Show was held on Saturday August 11th at the Pecan Grove at Richard Bland College. The
sponsoring club was the Southern Knights Cruisers. It was a perfect day for a car show after over a week of record heat. It was
partly cloudy, but the air was just right. The cooler weather and the shade of the pecan trees made it perfect for a car show.
Just look at the amount of shade that can be seen in many of the photos. There was 230 registered at this years show and approximately 22 vendors.
We surely want to thank the businesses that partnered with us again this year. They make it all happen! We hope you will let them know, when you stop by there
business that you attended this event and how much you appreciate all they do to help the community.

Again this year the show had three (3) main classes and gave a Best of Show Award in each. The winners were:
Class: Early to 1954 - Winner Jerry Shelton with a 1941 Willys
Class: 1955-1972 - Winner Lee Weber with 1969 Camaro
Class: 1973-Present - David Dispinito with 2005 Mustang
There were some Twenty-Two (22) Addtional Specialty Awards, plus a Top 25 in each of the classes. Over 119 awards
were given out in all.
