July 3, 2010 Cruise-In Photos This was a beautiful day for a Cruise-in. Not to Hot, Not to Cool. Best of All it was a Holiday Weekend with Fireworks, Hot Dogs, and joining together with friends and family. This would be a special day. We would celebrate the 234th year of this country's Independence. The kids at the cruise-in all received an American Flag, We joined together for the Pledge of Allegiance, and the playing of the National Anthem.
There weren't many shows going on, but many were at cookouts. Still about 100-125 cruisers came to Hardee's to meet friends and have a good time. This would also be a special night where we would recognize a dear friend that passed away March 14, 2010. Betty Witherspoon was always at the Cruise-In with husband Junior until she got sick and couldn't be there. Even then she would come if
she were up to it. She loved riding in their yellow 1923 T-Bucket and to be at Hardee's with friends. John Ronkartz presented Junior a Plaque in her memory on behalf of the Southern Knights Cruisers and the Cruisers that come to Hardee's. She will not be fotgotten. There were lots of nice vehicles at the Cruise-In, but this one stood out as the "Pick of the Week." There were lots of nice Bikes at the Cruise-In, but this custom chopper was picked as the "Pick of the Week." Hope You Enjoy Photos of some of the vehicles that attend the cruise-in.
